Study of Eco-Anthropology on Collecting Edible Wild Vegetablesin Yunnan Xinping County

Abstract: Based on the theories of eco-anthropology and ethno-botany, and  supported by an on-the-spot investigation, the paper reveals the traditional ways of collecting feeding on various sorts of wild herbs by Huayaodai folks ,among which 10 sorts are the most favorite. Then  an exploration is made of the processing methods of the collected herbs. Finally a conclusion is drawn that the mountainous folks and plain-inhabited folks possess different features of collecting wild vegetables.
