Abstract: The early 20th century was the key time when Chinese education broke through the monopoly of Confucian sutra and began to pay equal attention to science and humanity education.During that time,science education had been developing steadily while humanity education kept on playing the leading role in the higher education.Some educationalists had come to realize that higher education must harmonize the relation between science education and humanity education and that neither science education nor humanity education can bring up versatile students.
