Abstract: Owing to various reasons, poor people in the minority areas are apt to develop a dependent psychology upon social and governmental support. There are both objective causes and subjective causes for this dependent psychology.The main subjective causes are as follows: Repeated social reverses suffered by the poor people contribute to their physiological mechanism for this psychology; ethnical inferiority complex is the fundamental base of this psychology; and certain backward cultural concepts form the ideological basis of this psychology.
