Abstract: Interaction between cultures of various peoples is omnipresent. However, our cognition of the nature and characteristics of this interaction has gone through a historical process. This paper analyses the characteristics of interation between cultures and puts forth the view that cultures interact on each other through a coupling operation. The paper further probes into the nature of cultural interaction with the conclusion that cultural interaction is a continuous process on a reciprocal basis,an ever adjusting process from disorder to order, and a process of mutual absorption and mutual penetration.
