Influence of Historical Memory on the Formation ofEthnic Prejudice

Abstract: The formation of national prejudice is closed related to historical memory.For one thing,the implantation and “power” of historical memory make the production and dissemination of national prejudice possible,on the other hand,compared to the economy,politics,social class and other social factors,the national prejudice which rooted in the historical events and historical culture are more easily “legalize” a mark of communication experience to other national groups so as to cause the national estrangement.Advocating national tolerance actively,increasing the touch and contaction between different national groups,viewing of the individual historical envents objectively and dialectically are the important prerequisite for eliminating national prejudice and maintaining the harmonious development of national relationship.
