从认知语境看隐喻意义理解

摘要:对隐喻意义的理解一直是语言学界关注的一个热点问题,不同的学者从不同的角度对隐喻的理解有过阐述。无论是从哪个角度去解释隐喻的意义,都离不开语境的作用,尤其是认知语境的作用。本文在阐明隐喻的本质和及其语义特征的基础上,从字词、句子、文化和语篇的层面探讨认知语境对隐喻理解所发挥的功能,阐述了认知语境对隐喻理解的重要作用。

Abstract: Metaphor is a research topic which modern linguistics and many other subjects follow with interest. It is no longer only treated as a rhetorical means and a linguistic phenomenon,but as a way of thinking. It participates and reflects the cognitive process of mankind. Cognitive and context are the very important factor in understanding metaphor,especially cognitive context. After clarifying the nature and semantic features of metaphor,this paper mainly elaborates the role of cognitive context in understanding metaphors from words,sentences,discourse,and culture.
