Abstract: Advancing whole-process people's democracy through consultative  democracy is not only an important component of comprehensively deepening reform in the new era,but also a crucial measure for further deepening reform comprehensively to advance Chinese modernization on the new journey,embodying the inherent unity of theoretical,historical and practical logic.It embodies the ideological wisdom of the Communist Party of China in integrating Marxist democratic theory with both China's specific realities and its traditional culture of harmony and confluence,thereby demonstrating the contemporary significance of integrating the basic tenets of Marxism with China's realities and its fine traditional culture.It also faithfully reflects the Party's efforts to advance people's democracy into a whole-process model amid the steady development of socialist consultative  democracy,which is embedded in the historical evolution of the people from "shaping state power" to "participating in state governance".The practical logic of consultative  democracy indicates that it helps uphold the people-centered vision,expand democratic coverage,break policy barriers and lower operational costs,thereby strengthening the legitimacy,extensiveness,effectiveness and cost-efficiency of whole-process people's democracy in social governance.At the new starting point of further deepening reform comprehensively across the board,to fully develop consultative  democracy,we should,from a macro strategic perspective,revitalize existing resources,pursue coordinated incremental progress,guide grassroots practice and leverage digital technology,so as to drive the high-quality development of whole-process people's democracy.Such efforts will furnish stronger driving force and sound institutional guarantees for Chinese modernization,and rally widespread wisdom and strength for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
