奈达翻译理论的多维度思考——不存在“奈达信息翻译理论”

摘要/Abstract

摘要：中国翻译理论界有人认为奈达翻译理论包含一种奈达信息翻译理论。“奈达信息翻译理论”实质上不存在，奈达在他的翻译理论中仅仅使用了“信息”二字，没有发展形成“奈达信息翻译理论”。与传统翻译理论相比较，奈达的翻译理论仅仅在术语上更现代，本质上没有突破性发展。奈达的翻译理论是面向信息的转换或变换，不同于香农的信息理论。香农的信息理论是信息通讯理论，面向信息的转移或传递。信息的转换或变换不同于信息的转移或传递。奈达翻译理论中的“信息”与香农信息理论中的“信息”处理者不同，处理方式不同。奈达的翻译理论不可能建立在香农的信息理论的基础上。奈达翻译理论中的“信息”指的是语言的意义和形式。

Abstract: The writer of this paper states that in the minds of some Chinese translation theorists there exists Nida’s Informational Translation Theory.The writer points out that Nida only uses the term of “message” in his works,which is far enough to develop a theory on “message”.Compared with traditional theory,Nida’s theory is only developed in the use of modern terms;the essence is just the same as the traditional theory.While Information Theory of Claude E.Shannon aims at transmitting information,Nida’s Translation Theory aims at transforming information.Transmitting information is different from transforming information.In the paper,the writer explains in detail the meaning of“message” in Nida’s theory.
