Abstract: Although in recent years the academic field has achieved considerable accomplishments on the research of modern China nationalism,the study on modern Chinese historical practice through the angle of liberal nationalism has been scarcely approached.This article will provide a simple summary and comment on the problem consciousness and structure of the modern Chinese liberal nationalism,the relationship between liberalism and nationalism,and the ideology genealogy and type of liberal nationalism as well as the main focuses in the existing researches on this topic.In this way,the author attempts to review the deficiencies in recent studies in order to promote the further research on this issue.
