摘要：提出鸦片(罂粟)是在公元7、8世纪由印度传入我国，而不是清道光年间由英国人传来。从历史和语言上详细分析了“鸦片”一词以及“阿片”、“阿芙蓉”、“雅片”和“亚片”等几个外来音译名的来历。

Abstract: It is a historical fact that poium was introduced into China from India during the 7th and 8th centuries,but not from England during the reign of Daoguang Emperor of the Qing Dynasty,as many people supposed.This paper gives a detailed analysis of the origin of several words denoting opium:“雅片”，“阿片”，“阿芙蓉”，“亚片”.
