摘要：研究英语词汇是研究英语语言的一个重要方面。拟声词的词汇是通过模拟自然界中各种不同的声音而构成的。从拟声词的修辞功能和翻译技巧两方面探讨了拟声词在英语语言运用中的功能和重要性。

Abstract: The study of English words is an important aspect in learning the English language.Many English words,which are called onomatopoeic words,come from the imitation of various sounds of nature.This thesis tries to probe into the rhetorical functions and translation technics of these words.
