Abstract: The research onTusi is becoming a hot issue in the study of history,and the construction of the study of Tusi is being put on the agenda.Presently,the research on Tusi issues should be based on a wide historical vision,because the practice of Tusi system and bureaucratization of native officers,as historical phenomenon and historical existence,is under a historical background with Chinese characteristics.At the same time,the research on Tusi system,an administrative model in the frontier regions during the Yuan (1206—1368),Ming (1368—1644),and Qing (1316—1912) dynasties,should also be based on a wide historical vision,emphasizing deepening research and innovation.Among the lots of theoretical and practical works to be done in constructing the study of Tusi,compiling Introduction to the Study of Tusi is the most urgent.The construction of the study of Tusi should not be the end in the research on Tusi issues;instead,it should be a new start.
