Abstract: “Bao-gao” system was a kind of litigation system in ancient China.It was not only a kind of legal system,but also a kind of social relation between the litigants and their agents,which was based on legal litigation.From the historical point of view,“Bao-gao” was the contents of legal practice,interpersonal relations,social changes and social structures,and was one of the key problems under the discussion of rural order in Qing dynasty in social history.
