Abstract: The process of establishing diplomatic relations between China and England is long and complicated,in which America plays an important role.After the Second Word War,England depended largely on America and always follwed the latter in making its policies toward China.This led to the delay of the establishment of relationship between the two countries.This paper tries to make an objective analysis of how America affecteddiplomatic relations between China and England in three different periods.
