Savage,Brave,and Barbarous——the Strong,Primitive Power in Duanmu Hongliang’s Novels

Abstract: The vital-force of the characters in Duanmu Hongliang’s novels is released in a different way from that by contemporary writers,and even the northeast writers.The downfallen noble extraction,the Shamanism culture,and the worships to ancestors are the roots for this characteristic.The strong life vitality,brave rebellion spirit,and the keen desire for life construct the strong,primitive power and spirit connotation in Duanmu Hongliang’s novels.
