Historical Inheritance and Innovative Development:70 Years of the Construction of Key Universities

Abstract: 70 years since the founding of New China,our country have seen several rounds of construction of key universities,which have formed the development of higher education withChinese characteristics.Reviewing the course of the construction of key universities in China in the past 70 years,in the aspect of historical inheritance,we have always inherited to "seeking truth from facts" in our ideological line,greatly promoting our work in all areas by drawing upon experience gained from certain key points in our ideal pursuit,and sticking to the principled stand of "selective support".In the aspect of innovative development,the missions undertaken by the construction of key universities are still being expanded,important items are being pushed forward and deepened step by step,and the selection methods are being gradually improved.Based on the present and looking forward to the future,the construction of key universities in China still needs to improve the construction system,prevent the risk of solidification and alienation of construction projects,and strengthen the responsibility of demonstration and guidance in the course of construction.
