摘要：在整个中国史学史上, 始终存在着一种如何才能真正理解中国历史的思想要求。从20 世纪开始,这种思想要求以一种更加醒目的方式凸现在中国现代史学史上。它构成了中国现代史学史上的一股最内在的基本力量。

Abstract: Throughout the history of Chinese historical science, there has been existing an intellectual demand for the true unders tanding of the history of China. Since the beginning of the 20th century, this demand has been growing more conspicuously. It has even shaped one of the most elementary forces in the modern Chinese historical circles.
