Abstract: The authors of this paper draw the condusion that the present grand exploitation of the Westem Region is an indispensable part of building the national socialist market economy, that, only by adhering to the law of market economy and by overcoming the influence of the long practice of plan economy in the past,can this grand undertand achieve the desired result, that this great plan will inevitably face the traditional cultures of the minority peoples in the Westem Region, which have to be upgraded and reconstructed so as  to meet with the demands of the socialist market economy, and that the nature of the grand exploitation of Westem Region lies in the building of a pluralistic as well as integrated national market economy
