Abstract: As a major part of the Confucianism,the people-valuing Thought has come a long way to its maturity which is actually finished by Zeng Guofan.Although Zeng’s intention is to defend the ruling power of the class which he comes from,the people-valuing thought features vivid ideas of respecting people,facilitating people,loving people and protecting people.Zeng’s contribution to the people-valuing thought lies in not only his completing the thought,his field practice of the thought,but also his presentation of the pracical guideline to realize the thought,which deserve to refer to in the work of constructing a  harmonious society.
