Political Construction and Social Autonomy:the Growth Mechanism of the Publicity of Grass-roots Social Organizations:A Case Study of H Studio in H City

Abstract: The publicity of the social organization refers to the good behaviors and ideas of the social organizations in the process of maintaining the interests of the members of the organizations and participating in public governance.Through the investigation of public growth course of H Studio in H City,two mechanisms of public growth of present Chinese grass-roots social organizations,namely political construction and social autonomy,are extracted.In each stage of the germination,growth and maturity of social organizations,political power promotes the publicity of social organizations as the paternalist,the enforcer and supporter,with many faces and multiple governing logics.Social organizations,on the other hand,will adopt multiple autonomous action strategies,such as dependence,cooperation and game,to expand their own publicity.However,the publicity of social organizations,which results from the mutual coupling of political construction and social autonomy,also has its disadvantages,such as the imperfection,duality and finiteness of the publicity of social organizations and the predicament of public reproduction brought by the involution of the development.
